One of the greatest authors of our time. Everyone should be reading his stories, especially the Sam Vimes series. A great analogy for the melting pot we are supposed to be.

When I first read Going Postal as a teen, I didn't care much for it, but upon reading it again after a decade and change working in retail (especially at a store being eaten alive by private equity)? Oh man, it became one of my top favorite in the series.

The more people with money to spend beyond living expenses, the more jobs get created to meet the demand, and THOSE people spend money creating more jobs, etc.
