Oh, I know! They’re awful and no one talks about it (except Sam Austin). From what I understand, Lake Banook has improved but Penhorn is getting worse as are many of the other lakes, they aren’t as ‘economically important’ as Banook.

She didn’t have great things to say about Banook either so it’s not where she would like it to be. But hearing “I wouldn’t swim here” while watching your kid’s swimming lesson is …something. There’s a whole convergence of issues with the Canada geese setting up on the lake and developers up the hill
It’s all a mess. A few years ago, Banook was barely open during the summer, but they just keep building while only doing a cursory scan of the environmental impact.
I feel like they could easily prevent run-off from all the activities that are killing the lakes, but they just don’t want to.
