They don't. Nobody has their shit together. If you read that into my post, that's on you. Nobody owes anyone a relationship. But, the article was about men. Apparently, nobody cares if women are lonely. Only that men are.

πππ...boom! That's at the heart of it all, isn't it? The baseline that women are not as valuable or important as men.
Now whoβs reading into things.
I think that's a fair assessment since I rarely see articles about the women's loneliness epidemic. But, I can't swing a lanyard without finding an article about male loneliness.
Youβre seeing it lately, precisely BC it was neglected for decades. Both can be true: 1) Historically (and ongoing) white male dominated society 2) The worsening of male mental/physical health, identity, education, jobs, cultural vilification, advertising image (incompetent/clueless/lazy), etc
And 3) That very rarely does anyone write articles about women being lonely. Believe it or not, there are female incel sites. Women, like men, are capable of being lonely and wanting love and, yes, even sex. Yet, I only see articles about male loneliness.
Like I said, itβs actually been the decade (more like since 2000 ish) of the woman. Tons of articles, books, studies, movies/tv, therapy, healing retreats etc etc. Bc it was playing catchup to decades of male centred society. And as it does, the pendulum swung too far, and boys/men got neglected.
Also, weird that this is the decade of the woman, yet, we only just started believing sexual assault victims and then stopped. And it resulted in women losing their reproductive rights. If this is the decade of women, I hate to see what a decade of men would look like.
1) I think your anecdotal expertise in what articles exist over the past 25 years is doing some heavy lifting here. 2) At least until Trump got really dictatorial and misogynistic in this 2nd term, it was a time of progress and attn for women. And pop culture pushed the smart girl / dumb boy thing.
1) I think you're deflecting. Anyone can see there are tons of articles on male loneliness and tons of pundits and influencers talking about it. As if it's a problem that only affects men. 2) Right, because there was no backlash to #MeToo and a constant drive to remove Roe v Wade.
BTW, Roe was overturned before the child predator was even in power. Lots of progress for women indeed. And I remember women being taunted with "Your body, my choice" before the child predator ever was in the White House.
In power the second time you mean...and the grab em by the pussy vid was out in October of 2015.. before the pedo's first term... people voted for it π€¦.. which only proves our points!
And, to put the final nail in this argument, there are plenty of airheaded female characters and smart guys in media. House was a guy. Dr. Cox was a guy. Iron Man was a guy. Video games are still dominated by male protagonists.
Iβm making a more nuanced point. 1) Itβs still a make dominated society. 2) Liberals have been leading the charge, with Reps knuckle dragging, obstructing, reversing, stoking, etc.
Weird, men are supposedly neglected, yet, I keep seeing only articles about them being lonely. Are women not lonely? Or, is this more likely a case of a group of people living in privilege so long that not being the center of the universe is seen as oppression?
