I dunno. He’s definitely written like a show off. Walking on water, feeding the multitudes, water to wine, casting out demons. All of that is basically a sideshow act.

My biggest problem with it is that it’s anachronistic. Modern politics really don’t apply. But he was the sort of guy, or so I’ve read, who would happily be dirt poor, and give all he has to the poor. I don’t know if you noticed, but Christians aren’t like that. Weird, really.
