Watching through it now... Just to one of my least favorite trope. The whole Hunty going "dark" and all that feels un-needed in this series.

I didn't mind that part personally, but it's definitely a trope that KR uses *a lot* haha, I can get the frustration

It's not so much that I hate the trope... I just feel it's REALLY forced considering these two characters.

I felt like in this case it isn't that trope at all. It's handled very emotionally mature. (Which the entire season does consistently, and is the main strong point of Gavv all throughout I'd say.) It genuinely acknowledges characters weaknesses and how to sort out feelings.
