Bellwether gubernatorial election in NJ coming up in November. Voted in primary day today. One of a strong stable of established democrats will likely face normal republican turned Trump shill, Jack Ciattarelli who lost to current governor, Phil Murphy in a closer than expected race in 2021.
The state swung strongly towards Trump in 2024, with Harris winning by only 6 points (Biden won by 16 in 2020). A double digit D victory would suggest backlash against what has been a chaotic start to Trump round two. A GOP win or narrow D victory would indicate that despite the outward displays of
anger as seen in protests around the country, the regular voter is unconcerned with or even in support of the dangerous direction the Trump administration is taking the country. Should be interesting #politics #njprimary
