We’re getting that heat in Illinois in a few days. It’s unbearable. I worry so much for the unhoused, seniors and animals 😔

Me too. I have put extra bird food out and bowls of water for any stray animals. I hope anyone without a/c goes to an air conditioned place during the day. Barnes and Noble is a great place to sit and stay cool and look at some books. Or a local library. This weather is insane.

We have heated shelters for the neighborhood cats at the house, but no way to keep them cool. We change water twice a day and food. Cats will not use a wading pool.
