I think plug & charge is when the charger and car talk to each other and automatically start billing and charging without driver interaction once the car is plugged in. (Like Tesla superchargers) Shouldn't prevent tap to pay or phone apps from working as per normal

This is specifically for a feature that starts charging the car when you plug in without extra input, it can still be charged just with extra effort adding payment info & confirming at chargers.

We have an EV, I'm all for the EV future and think they're great but let me say it loud and clear: FUCK THAT NOISE. Paying a sub just to be able to charge your car in a slightly more convenient way is utterly dumb.

Dafuq, it would be one thing if they had real intent for the subscription to pre pay for future longevity of the service but the meta is definitely not maintain longevity so it just looks like a cash grab
