Had my child’s doctor (this month!) tell me she was “pro some vaccines, against others” and I was so uncomfortable—like why are you telling me this when I follow the standard vaccine schedule for my children, and I’m not a vaccinologist, and you aren’t, either.
IMO she should not have told u that. That is her business & has no place in her professional practice. This makes me wonder what other evidence-based interventions she doesn't believe in that she omits from her practice & your child doesn't receive. MDs are supposed to follow guidelines not whims.
Thankfully NOT our primary care providor—just someone we needed to see for a sports physical! 🙏
Lisa she was like: Have you heard about the HPV vaccine? I have BIG FEELINGS about that one. And I thought, oh well/wth I can’t read this person, and said: “yes, I got that for my ten year old as soon as I heard it was available.” And she was like: “yeah, it’s a great one.” 😰
I had a nurse mentor once who called those kinds of medical professionals "cowboys." Out there living by their own code. Picking and choosing. Freaking scary.
You dont just die from whooping cough. You suffer terribly first. I guess its been too long ago that cemetaries were full of children who died from now preventable diseases. History has to repeat itself for the dumbest of the apes to relearn how important, and life saving, vaccines are. 🤦🏼♀️
I remember my infant having a bad cough and thinking it was whooping and it was awful, awful. 💔 I think we should have a vaccine mandate. 🤷
