My kids are older now, but I remember taking them to the Y for gymnastics and the coaches would be exhausted on certain days because they had open gym for homeschoolers and all the kids were Hellions. Couldn’t take turns, couldn’t regulate emotions. OMG, they really are raising a conservative Army!
Sadly an illiterate army that can't discipline itself is little better than literal cannon fodder. They are training bullet sponges.

Raising a conservative army has been one of the foundational principles of the Christian homeschool movement since the 1970s. They call them the "Joshua Generation".
Turns, cooperation, control of self… all skill sets that armies need. Can’t make an army out of the feral.
