It's seeming more likely that he suffered a stroke and has brain damage so is avoiding the media so it won't be obvious that he is unfit to serve as POTUS now.

Could be - and of course, none of us will never know… But it looks to me that he is for sure on prednisone /steroids and I’ve seen bruising on men’s hands and arms when they have congestive heart failure due to meds/blood thinners
