It seems like the news here /could/ be that the NFL has offered Rice six games to settle the suspension before the season, but "aiming for" "at least" a "potential" six games makes it sound like both sides are still uncertain/pushing in opposite directions. Weird.
So, if that's the new ceiling, it seems like the best bet would be to hold out until the 9/30 hearing, get past those first four games and then take six or see what the arbitator says?
Is the idea that the suspension starts to take effect and the Sept. 30 meeting is where the two sides will agree to call it good at 4 games?
Already down from the 8 he was saying last week. The league doesn't want the arbitration to happen it seems
Yeah, it's weird that the league is publicly putting out there that their best/final offer is 6 games, while framing it as "at least". So...in the hearing they're going to present 8 games, expect the NFLPA to ask for 4, and plan to get negotiated down to 6? Weird framing.
Negotiation through Scheffter?
So… things could “potentially” change with this final decision, agreed to by both parties involved within the issue at hand, stemming from the off field issue said player was supposedly involved in. GOT IT!
Don’t trust sheffter.
