You relentlessly accuse your critics of bad faith. Is that really compatible with a practice of honest self-appraisal? Seems like it wouldn't be.

It's actually OK and good to accuse people posting "Kill yourself hurr hurr hurrrrrr" of bad faith.

Man bravely standing up to tell an unpopular truth.

But what about all the other people who don't do that.

Which ones specifically? If Stancil is relentless accusing his normal, reasonable critics - not just the ones engaging in shitposting and mockery - of bad faith, should be easy to find a few examples.

I don't see anywhere in that message where he's accusing you of bad faith. Did that happen later in the thread?

In fact, later in that same thread he used exactly those words.

👍 That's a clear example of @whstancil.bsky.social saying you're engaging in bad faith when more parsimonious explanations (like "I think you're wrong") exist. No notes, I withdraw my objection to your snark.

Thank you. But it wouldn't really make sense to say I was "wrong" since I was just asking (pretty obvious) questions.
