50 years? Jesus.
50 years? Jesus.
I listened to that one and the next one back to back yesterday. Still holds up. And I also liked the iterations of Fleetwood Mac prior to these -- just a different brand of music, but still excellent.
Classic album 👌

I bought that album 50 years ago, it feels like it was just last year when I bought it, great music.
we were lucky we had great music in our life
Ah, the soundtrack to my fun days ❤️
Landslide Landslide Landslide Landslide Landslide Landslide [...] Landslide Landslide Landslide one of the best song ever.
Stevie's 'Landslide'....after 50 years, it is still as beautiful and fragile as the finest porcelain.
Wait… FIVE zero, fifty?
Personally, I liked the rawness of Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac. But this was a great album.
Total class act. :)
At least as good as Rumours
Saw the original lineup in the 60s with Pete Green in small, intimate venues in my humble opinion streets ahead of the latter version.
Absolutely stunning.
A great legacy to be sure. I did like the original lineup with Peter Green, also; a lot of great songs.
Holy crap. This makes me feel really old.
That's not helping to remind me how old I am now....🤣
Remember it like it was yesterday, on the bus to school camp. Still have the album. 🥰
One of my favourite albums of all time
I was entering college as a freshman the next month. What an incredible album that was a timestamp on the beginning of my college life. Wonderful year!
Such a great album, but my gosh the band is a dumpster fire of lawsuits and anger these days
Lots of 50th anniversaries this year in the soundtrack of my life: this, Physical Graffiti, Wish You Were Here, on and on and every year before and after. A great time to be alive!

I was drinking at the bar in Bay Ridge near Shore Rd. A woman came in carrying a man. Sat him on a stool next to me. His eyes were at my level. I felt awkward at first. 😱, we had so much fun. Music on, carousing, about 50 of us stayed till daylight. Beautiful memory.
Everybody talks about Taylor Swift writing songs about her breakups. Stevie Nicks wrote songs about her breakups and made the guy she broke up with perform them in the band with her.
And Christine McVie made her husband John McVie play bass on a song she wrote and sang about hooking up with the band’s light guy….
Fleetwood Mac were basically a game of fuck, marry, kill where every answer was cocaine.
😂 that’s really tickled me, that!
This is fire. Good one!
I just never liked them , nor the Eagles, but cannot deny how they did impact other people - even now yrs later still don’t find them interesting, but I am sure there are bands I like others might say that about as well
Saw them on the tour of this able and they were great. College-aged me never quite got over Stevie Nicks on stage
*album* ... what is it about posting that overrides four decades of "read through it again before publishing" training?
Yes, I've been listening ever since.
Boy! Do I feel old! 🫤
I love that album
Was my favorite album!
The most successful, financially. I do like me some Bare Trees.
And I bought it 50 years ago.
My son & I keep having the Stevie/Lindsey discussion. Mick hired Buckingham, but he refused to join without Stevie, & she never acknowledged or respected his brilliant guitar mastery, even though she had to hire two guitarists. It should have been Buckingham's band, but Stevie stole Fleetwood Mac.
No way would it have been Buckingham's band.
The proof is his career after Fleetwood Mac vs hers. He faded into obscurity, she rocked it.
Exactly. Without doubt he is a great guitarist, but I've always thought he wanted the band to revolve around him. And yes, Stevie did rock it after leaving FM.
As a band nerd & Stevie stan from way back, I have this album. Landslide is on this, they brought it to the Mac. In the last year I found L’s post-Mac album in a thrift shop. It’s meh…too avant garde for my taste. He was prolly a decent guitarist but I only remember him as pretty and drama ridden.
Did Fleetwood Mac personnel change?
Ooo - I feel old.
Timeless.
I bought it...I still have it....I still sometimes play it.
They were a supergroup. Very few groups have boasted that much talent.
My favourite Mac is the Peter Green one. Saw them live twice, genius band.
Agreed! He insisted, despite record company objections, that the band be named after his mates instead of himself as he didn't think he'd stick around and wanted them to be able to continue without him. 58 years on....
Man of the World...
What's with the Toulouse-Lautrec bloke?
Now I feel old
Most controversial lineup. The chains keep us together.
Still on of my favourites
One of my favourite albums ever.
Totally my favorite 👏😽
Straight. Fucking. Fire.
I think I preferred when the word was "groovy."
Without Peter Green it was just - ordinary Pop music.
Can’t both versions be great? And yes I realize there are more than 2 versions. I mean the blues versions and pop versions.
It's a matter of personal taste. Some may find them both equally great, I don't. Pete Greens guitar is mesmerising and the style is more to my liking.
I absolutely love Peter Green. I also think Lindsey Buckingham is a genius writer, producer and amazing guitarist. Everyone has their own taste and parts of music that get to their soul. I’m just saying both “versions” of Fleetwood Mac are great.
Nothing left to say "He sold his magic Paul – with its unique, snarky honk and mysteriously wired pickups – to Gary Moore, who used it to record Blues for Greeny, a 1995 collection of 11 Green originals rendered with tone and heart." www.guitarplayer.com/gear/the-ext...
When I write Green Manalishi every blues/rock addicted person hears the song, the rhythm, the lead, the singing, the drums. Everything. That's Peter Green Magic.
I'm with you. The original Fleetwood Mac were brilliant.
Today I learned.......
As I used to say to my son when he was little and discovered something new, "Isn't life grand, you learn something new every day". It worked, he loves learning.
Good parenting With that and being comfortable to admit they don't know something they will be unstoppable.
