As much as I roll mu eyes when people bemoan the lack of high speed train service between small communities in the maritimes or the prairies, we really ought to have something in these areas.

There absolutely could be high speed rail YEG-YYC-Banff, but that’s about it in the prairies. And would have to be nationalised but that should any HSR anyways.
