The point is that the gun is the weapon that causes the violence and number of casualties. Yes, other weapons are available, but guns facilitate a level of violence and injury/death other weapons can't in the same way or time.

Arguing a point, no one's made. Guns increase the number of innocent casulties in the kind of mass shooting event we've just sadly witnessed. America stands alone in its problem with gun violence & sheer number of mass shootings in schools etc. You can have guns when you've sorted that out.
