It annoys me to no end when people are celebrating victories in the courts that we all know that they will ultimately disobey. Or to pin their hopes on midterm elections or the next presidential election. Are they not paying attention? Have they no sense of historical precedent? It's a new order.
It absolutely is! (Well, LIBERAL democracy anyway, which is what we care about.) Which is why we have to insist on it! A story like this is the question, not the answer, so to speak.
