TIL there was a fractious and short lived anti-futurist yet to my eyes very futurist-flavored art movement in England, the "Vorticists"

The more I look at this painting the more I love it. Black cat destroying a still life with a conspicuous red race car seen through the window... same, Agnes, same.

On Twitter there was always a bait post available that was like "be honest, what parts of fascism are good actually" and my real answer is that i think I could paint cubist airplanes in a positive way if I tried

Italian futurist poster design of angelic gold airplane forms over a fractured cityscape/mountain range

Your chaotic and menacing Italian Futurist airplane versus my serene and inspiring Socialist Realist airplane

Monoplano Johnathan by Tulio Craili, who was a prominent futurist and kept making futurist paintings well after WWII! Painting depicts a fractured warplane diving at the viewer Painting supposedly by Aleksandr Deyneka but I cant find the title- aircraft with a bright red wing flying over towering clouds

I love their work, although it does unsettle me, a little. But them, the same goes for the Futurists.
