People keep talking about the "midterms"... that is still over a year away, and they are already in the process of disrupting and denying it.

I get it. I do. Been fighting Trump since 2015 as a never trump Republican. But it will be very difficult to gerrymander that much. Especially if there’s a wave election as it is shaping up for. Plus if that is the case gerrymandering can backfire spectacularly. Don’t lose hope. Long road ahead.
And also. Clearly the system as implemented wasn’t working well. Now that Trump has burned it all down we have a chance to reinvent better systems and institutions without being the “burn it all down” party. There is a lot of upside to this if you can look through the fuzz, imo.
I can more than see the potential in the future and have also seen the upside of the damage that is being done in the potential for securing the system so that this bullshit doesn't happen again. The problem is getting to that point. So, I'm trying, and have been trying to limit all of this that
I take in. Problem with it is, I still see and still feel so many directions and possibilities of where everything is headed. Sorry, feel like doom and gloom *insert nervous awkward laugh here lol* but I've had the same guttural feeling since before the election. Honest, I am trying. 😅
I get it for real. I’ve had that feeling since November. But now we see a real battlefield taking shape where we can respond instead of just imagining all the damage. We are having a lot of wins too. All battles will ebb and flow. Remember, ~1,300 days ago we thought Ukraine would fall in 3 days.
Now, Russia is looking really closer and closer to actual collapse (idk if you keep up with that all but Russia is really … seriously on the verge of collapse governmentally right now). Keep your chin up and never give up. Let’s work together for a better country for our childrens.
Yeah, other than the destruction, and what they are/have been going through, I knew Ukraine was going to be tough to do this to. And yeah, thankfully they have been reimagining a lot of battles and tactics which have been a major component of their success. Having our *initial* assistance and Europe
has very much kept them going. That along with people around the world standing with them in solidarity *from afar* hoping and trying to lift them up, has certainly helped them persevere. Seeing the people of Russia (which has been few and far between recently) taking issue and trying to stand
against the war, has helped. AND seeing how much worse poopin's actions and degradation of the country has built up, has been welcome to see. But then there is Gaza and the Palestinian's and what they are going through. *damn rabbit holes*... Thanks for the encouragement and discussion. needed it.
For some more encouragement, yes the Gaza stuff is very tragic and unacceptable. I am a neocon type and am still very much an Israel supporter. But idk for how much longer. I used to dismiss all the Palestine stuff but Israel is hemorrhaging support for good now.
