I don’t care if he’s interacting with those people. I care that he’s making the world less safe for trans children and adults. If it were a one off, I wouldn’t be on my soapbox about this. But he made it a thing repeatedly over several months. He needs to course correct. 🤷🏽♀️ And keep trolling.
I do agree, but the bigger issue is DJT. He is making the world less safe for far more people. GN is speaking his mind & being honest about how he feels. Transphobia is real. It scares people because it is difficult to understand. DJT wants you to disappear, literally. That’s the alternative.
Yes, of course Trump is the bigger issue and wants to disappear everyone who doesn’t support him. 🙄 And GN knows what he’s saying at all times and if not needs to work that shit out in private with his advisors or a therapist I’m not trans but I recognise & call out bigotry when I see it. 💁🏽♀️
I do the same, but we’re human. There is hate, and there is extremism, but I do not sense either w GN. He was insensitive in his comments & in his role that really shouldn’t happen. I don’t think he is a bigot. Trans athletes are indeed controversial to most Americans. It’s a new thing. Give it time
Trans people & trans athletes have been around for a long time, in small numbers, like now. What’s new is the crazy Christofascist culture war targeting and scapegoating trans people. Divide & conquer - get everyone to hate & fear trans people, then on to gay marriage next, etc.
