The word "orchid" comes from the Greek word "orchis," which means "testicle." The roots of this beautiful flower were thought to resemble the male anatomy. #etymology

Apparently avocado has a similar origin in Mayan, it also means testicle in that language. So adds a whole new meaning to avocado toast

I have seen both orchid roots and testicles, and I can't help but wonder how they arrived at this idea.
