You’re right 😄 I also made the move from what I call software carpentry (small and medium-sized business work, brochure websites and the like) to software engineering (applications that run for decades and may in some cases be older than the youngest person on the team).

Both have their value, but as I’ve grown older I’ve found I prefer the latter. It is, I’ll admit, something of an acquired taste - I’ve traded a bit of expression for (IMO) meaning and impact, which is why I have started programming for fun again to have room for all the things I want to try out.
