We need to host community events with public health officials & doctors explaining to the public the danger we are in due to Kennedy, Trump & Musk’s dismantling of our public health infrastructure (coupled w/ ending international aid programs). The average person doesn’t grasp how dire things are.
Public health folks tend to be apolitical because they understand how dangerous politicizing public health is. But we need to encourage them to start speaking out locally and educating the public about the implications of a failed CDC so people are prepared for how bad things are about to get.

But it is also being political, if words mean anything. (Which I think is at least part of the point.) Which is good! When the other side is led by bad people who operate in bad faith and want to do bad things, choosing to prioritize political neutrality over objectivity is effectively pro-bad guys.
