I honestly feel a deep level of shame as a web developer, a React developer. Using React is like a cheat code to doing things on easy mode, and if you aren't a complete master at it, almost all of your code will be a performance hog that melts any web browser within an inch of your life.

YES. That has always been what’s drawn me to lower level projects and made me so interested in CE over CS. I hope I can do some more kernel or embedded programming someday
