Aside from generally solving poverty and inequality, UBI recognises that regardless of background, income, or circumstance, every individual deserves opportunity and the basic resources to access dignity, hope, and agency.

Its really sad that most opponents to it argue that people will have nothing to do. That shows you that they only see people as workers(cogs in the machine) and nothing more. Plenty of people want to create, build, and experience new things, but working has stolen those dreams from so many people
