The moon does not belong to the USA this is just too much. At least we know how incompetent they are they’ll never do it but won’t stop them from polluting space even more.

Space already has loads of radiation. Anything we send up would be piffling. There's massive radiation belts around Earth that Trump's devotees believe prevent us from getting to the Moon. We already have 2 or 3 RTGs roving around mars.

But why add to it especially when we are hopeless at correctly predicting risks and unintended consequences, maybe get the buses and trains to better run on time?

TBH, the most dangerous parts are getting nuclear fuel pellets or rods to the launch site, and the launch. Either could be disastrous on Earth. Once they're on the Moon? Meh.
