European leaders are discussing a security guarantee for Ukraine that would commit Kyiv’s allies to decide within 24 hours whether to provide military support to the country if it’s again attacked by Russia.

Ukraine already has a security agreement for protection that to this day being violated by Russia, America, and the UK. Without international troops deployed on the border as an actual deterrent (like those in the Balkans right now), any treaty won't be worth the ink it's pages.
