Not a defender of Carney. But I am genuinely afraid that economic warfare (or worse) is Trump's plan. Providing no valid excuses, clearly demonstrates to PP supporters and the world that we did all we could do. It prepares us for what is to come and allows stronger retaliation in the future.

The tariffs that PM Carney cancelled will help small biz & grocery prices and they seem to be happy with the decision. Now Canadians have a personal choice to make, buy Canadian if possible.

If you want a real conversation, please don’t start by insulting others. “Partisan” is unnecessarily diminishing. The retaliatory tariffs that were lifted, are only on CUSMA-compliant goods, which were already tariff-exempt by Americans. We shouldn’t open the door to violating trade agreements.
