yes we should already be shopping names, I never said we shouldn’t. Gavin Newsom should not be one of those names. It feels like people are already deciding he should be the nominee and yelling at everyone who justifiably hates him that they need to get in line. That’s where my issue is.

I would never vote for Newsom and I know many people who would not either. I do not think he is the “sure bet” you think he is. Dude hates the homeless and is happy to throw trans people under the bus. Never voting for someone who will hurt our most marginalized neighbors.

40% of voters stayed home in 2024 b/c the choice was a bigoted fascist or someone who condoned genocide, carceral slavery, and ejecting refugees. Newsom has spent his term attacking trans folk and the underprivileged while buddying up with outright fascists. A Newsom nom would be the end of the US.
