And even if we didn't notice, we'd sure see them coming, and I doubt more than a handful would even get as far as Hawaii.

yeah And even if they make it, we've had time to reinforce the west coast, and *even if* they take the West Coast (at the cost of millions of troops) they now have to fight their way 2800 miles east while taking and holding 3 million square miles of territory
