If I had unlimited funds, I know that the first thing I’d do is to buy a very large property with acres of land and adopt every single dog and cat that are in shelters - employ as many veterinarians as needed, build a hospital for animals and provide them with healthcare, food and love.

There’s absolutely no excuse in the world why someone would surrender their pet to a shelter.

There are situations - death or the elderly that can’t care for an animal any more, and have no old else. And I would rather someone take an animals to a reputable rescue or shelter rather than abandon them or abuse them.

Yes the key word is “reputable.” My two boys were rescued from a “kill” shelter. Chazz and Chance were to be euthanized if the Animal Rescue Foundation didn’t take them. Also, churches and pet stores have resources for placing abandoned pets and my local PetSmart had cat adoptions on Saturdays😊
