Bison do the same thing. We were in Custer State Park watching a herd and a juvenile dug themselves a nice cooling spot. An elder showed up, and the juvenile took off very quickly. Thank you for reviving the memory… Have an awesome day.

Yep, our dogs used to go swim in the river. Then roll in the blackest dirt they could find. After this ritual they dug a hole in the sand by the same tree and took a nap. Of course both wanted to sleep on my bed at night. They would leave sand all over my bed. I think it was a dog plan to annoy me.
