Capitulation or just honouring the CUSMA deal before the USA decides not too. We never should have applied tariffs to anything covered by CUSMA. How do we make a deal when we are the ones violating the current deal.

He should have raised the tariffs on US steel etc to match the US tariffs on ours.

no reason to punch ourselves in the dick just because the Americans are doing so to themselves. our boycotts of American products and travel hit more w US constituents anyways than some invisible tarriff. plus any cost increases that are coming to fruition can be blamed solely on Trump, not us

I think the Democrats tried this for 10 years…”when they go low we go high”…and looks where it has gotten them. We need to stop bringing a banana to a knife fight FFS. Bullies only respond to strength not weakness. If you are getting bullied, punching them in the nose (even metaphorically) works
