4/26/16. CV16-00797. “Katie Johnson” v Donald J Trump and Jeffrey E Epstein. 13 year old rape victim. She canceled twice because of the amount of death threats she received. When I mentioned this to his supporters, I get “never heard of this” or “you’re crazy”. Actual case. Not crazy at all.
This makes me feel ill. Response from MAGA relatives: "I know he's terrible, but God can work through terrible people. Look at King David. We just need to pray harder." I say the point is that David repented, but it falls on deaf ears.
I think my MAGA relatives do care about people, but fear underlies everything. So they'll bring the gay couple who moves into the neighborhood a casserole, but vote against them getting married. How is that truly caring about someone?
They brought a casserole? That’s awesome. That’s “old school” hospitality. It’s not fear, it’s, depending on age, or religious perspective, “forbidden” or looking at this from a different time period, it’s uncomfortable.
I don't give them that much credit. I was raised to "love the sinner, hate the sin," but I saw how cruel and pointless that is when I met someone who was out and saw he was a person just like me who wanted to live his life. My Italian Roman Catholic grandfather supported gay marriage, too.
Yeah. It is a cult and he is their Dear Leader. They won't wake up until he is dead or in jail.
