Oh that’s wild. I had no clue you could do that through Amazon. I could see it working if you did a whole marketing thing to promote it though. And yeah I feel that, after some of my best works I will reread it and be like “time to restart and redo this pile of trash” 😆
Oh my God, I do that so much. Since we're being all personal and shit, I can tell you that I was a pretty severe alcoholic at the time I was writing it, and as the book goes on, I can see myself getting worse and worse. It barely has an ending.
Oh dang, it’s good you’ve gotten through that. Alcoholism has hurt a lot of people in my family. Endings are hard af even sober 😆
Yeah, I'm working on my fourth year sober. I've been a functional alcoholic most of my adult life, I've had to relearn how to do almost everything. But seriously, this book doesn't even have an ending. I it just kind of... stops. 😆

I think at the time I was drunk and overconfident enough to think I had a second book in me. I seriously want to rewrite it now that I'm sober and see if I can turn it into something pretty. My accomplishments are few, I treasure them.
I tend to just make a project so out of my grasp I give up on it 20% through. I have like 8 stories written and another 20-30 planned. I have far more ambition than talent or motivation 😅 I think I just like planning and organizing projects, not actually building them 😂
Hey, 8 stories ain't half bad! I've tried to write short stories, but I don't have enough ideas. I just write to entertain myself anyway. It's a good solo activity that doesn't cost anything beyond the monthly subscription to Word. I guess it doesn't matter how much is still unfinished.
I suck at endings. I think that’s why the project is the way it is. They’re less “complete short stories” and more glimpses into different times of my world. I just keep adding to it, each story like a new house in a Minecraft world. I just use the same one over and over and make new stories in it
Sounds like a good project. Hell, the early Game of Thrones was basically a bunch of separate stories set in the same world. It didn't start to suck until they really began mixing them up and trying to resolve them. 😄
True, yeah wrapping them up has become way too complicated alone. To change 1 element of the world means changing a dozen stories 😭 if I had a team it could be a great collection of stories, but alas. I’m just one dumb bitch out here vibing on the internet talking to strangers instead 😂
