We have hummingbird feeders with clear, rounded bottoms so you can see their little tongues dipping into the nectar. SO cool.

A hummingbird jetted away from me last summer, its waste stream caught the sunlight and it was literally pooping a rainbow.

I once held one in my hand and dribbled sugar water into my palm and it lapped it up. It had flown into a window and was stunned and I was saving it from a dude that was going to "put it out of its misery." That was a pretty cool hummingbird bird tongue experience.

We had the garage door open for not more than 10 minutes today, and one of the feathery idiots flew in. I eventually had to capture him by hand to get him out. (He was perched on one hand, and I covered him with my other so he wouldn't fly back up into the rafters.
