The Runaway Bride ain't perfect, but its probably the best Christmas special thus far. Donna Noble is just instantly iconic and that TARDIS chase is seared into my brain.

Smith and Jones is such an adrenaline shot of freshness. From the music, direction, vibr, even Ten's new blue suit. I'll admit; in the past I wasn't the biggest fan of Martha (not hated, just not enamoured with her) but I am willing to join the cult of Martha Jones.

I don't have to watch The Shakespeare Code if I don't want to. I could just move on to Gridlock. Like it probably wins the award for worst aged DW story. Or at least its in the running for it. I don't have to watch it. No one's forcing me. Nope. I can just skip it. Oh ffs fine I'll watch it

The Shakespeare Code, you may be surprised to learn is *flips through notes* not very good. Even ignoring the stuff that hasn't aged well (and upon rewatch there's a LOT of it) it isn't very interesting or paced well at all. 'The Carrionite Swarm' absolutely slaps though.
