I really think the problem with Kamala is that she defaulted to listening to the mainstream Democrat strategists and due to that didn't get to speak out with her opinion on some extremely relevant issues.

The only issue that defeated Kamala was misogynoir. She was well qualified, ran a good energetic campaign and would have made a wonderful POTUS.

Misogyny was definitely a part of it. So is racism. My MAGA neighbor had a progressive candidate sign in his yard and I figured out why. The other candidate running was black. Racism is still a huge issue here.

It’s definitely not the only reason, but if you held everything else steady and removed that factor (which is really multiple things), it probably would have changed the result. You could potentially pick a few other factors that individually would have tipped the scales, but that’s a huge one.
