Yup. They're the shy cousins of mockingbirds, and can actually do all the things mockers can do, so if you hear a bird sounding like one and can't find it - cuz they're very good at hiding - it's probably a catbird.

They sometimes sound like cats...Merlin app is my favorite. There are red-tailed hawks in my neighborhood according to the app.
