Yeah, I've been there. What I try to do is buy REI shades with (what they used to call) dividend money. I get nice sunglasses and it lessens the sting a bit. A bit.

This is why I had to switch to transition lenses on my prescription glasses when I was living in Miami. Can't go without them there, but I'll be damned if I can successfully keep track of two pairs of expensive glasses everywhere I go.
Do you find that your transition lenses do not darken when you are in a car? Something about the windshield filtering out the triggering rays. I have a pair of prescription sunglasses for the car that never leave it. I wear my transitions everywhere else.

Thanks. I wonder if it is my lenses or my windshield. On sunny days, if I don’t put on the sunglasses immediately, after a few minutes I realize I am squinting, which reminds me to switch.
