There were many in counter culture that were in their late 20s to early 30s in the 60s. Some older. Some in my family. In order for them to have kids that were of age in the mid-late 60s they would have needed to birth them at around 15.

I was of the hippie generation. We trusted no one over 30. That is a well known fact. The Pranksters and the Beatniks (and their particular brand of counter culture) were more a small break away from the norms of the Greatest Generation. We far outnumbered them in our own generation.

I was a teen ager in Miami during the Cuban Missile Crisis (1962) & the Summer of Love (1967). In my 70’s now.
Well great… so was I. And so am I.
Not many 30 year olds could pass for 18.
