Veteran here as well in LA county. They better honor their oath to the constitution and remember, an illegal order is still their responsibility NOT to follow. There will be consequences for their actions once the orange menace is no longer in power.
I just saw that troops were actually there. I can't find anything that says what they are doing, or how they are interacting with protesters. I did see rifles which I don't think they carry when performing their disaster relief mission.
Every unnecessary aggressive action I saw came from the pd unfortunately (or fortunately).
Were there consequences after George Floyd? I never heard of any. They really just need to refuse illegal orders and do the right thing. They all need to just refuse.

This illegal traitorous administration will not be forever in power. Look to what happened in nazi germany. There will be repercussions. Learn from history or repeat it.

Also, I have witnessed personally soldiers from the US military that faced prison for following illegal orders. Just because you don’t know that doesn’t make it less true. Just because it wasn’t national news doesn’t make it untrue. ✌️
I hope there are actions being taken against members who engage in illegal orders. They are there to terrorize the public which is exactly the opposite of their job.
