Not surprised... for more than a decade US forces did raids in Iraq and Afghanistan, trying to root out insurgents, usually aided by AI/ML (Project Maven) w a Palantir flavour. I asked a US General how often they got the wrong location/person, he was proud it was down to 20-25%!!!!

Just look at how this is being used in Israel. Algorithms putting people on kill lists without human oversight. Armed drones acting on those generated lists. The same way Israel is targeting journalists with this tech, political dissidents in the U.S. are going to land on lists and then what?

I very much disagree with the phrasing that AI "generated leads for immigration raids". To me, a 'lead' requires further investigation to verify both accuracy and precision. These numbnuts are blindly following what a computer spits out that says 'bad guys here' and they hut-hut-hut to raid.
