At last.
At last.
www.theguardian.com/politics/201... A long read that should make any decent person angry.
I share the cynicism that too much info has been “lost” but this is long, long overdue. Hopefully some kind of justice will be done ✊
Cynical action designed to reveal nothing. Too little, too late.
Remember that amidst the state violence, the lies, the deception, you were seen. You were all seen. We knew the truth then. We know the truth now. ✊
Forty-one years… So, we can expect a whitewash report on the Battle of the Beanfield next year then.
Yep. Was just reading that.
At least they waited until the cops had the chance to incinerate all the evidence. Whitewash incoming
Polis have "accidentally" destroyed documents have they not? So what will be the fucking point
Came here to query the same.
What fucking chance has anybody got.
The timing is incredible* *Not
Just after they discover South Yorkshire Police have shredded loads of files. Timing.
Hell of a dead cat story for a government that has currently got three women locked up without charge in Govan cop shop for under terrorism laws. They knocked down a fence and threw some paint. I don’t think even Thatcher would abused her power as much as this mob will before they are deposed.
✊
Fuck all will come of it.
No one will lose their job or be prosecuted. No miners will get the years back they lost. There may be agreement that ‘bad things were done’ - the State will claim it has improved everything. Apart from grim satisfaction that workers were proved yet again to have been suppressed, what’s the point?
"Lessons must be learned" for 340 pages, no doubt....
