Indians are receiving a lot of hate in Australia. Racism is an infectious disease. Countries & people catch it from one another. The virus lies dormant in far too many. Some countries are heading towards soulless societies, as robots take the place of humans.

Part of the blame must lie with NRIs. Public behaviour, reluctnance to mingle & assimilate with the locals & others (forming own little exclusive associations - Marathi Mandal, Rajasthani Samajh, Tamil Sangam, ....). Lately, the activities of overseas units of the VHP & Bajrang Dal.

I guess racism is prevalent everywhere, including India, in varying degrees. It is human nature to be fearful or be suspicious of someone who is different. However, what used to be hidden and considered bad, is now in the open and celebrated even..

True. Racism is something to be ashamed of, not celebrated. The fallout for the countries with dwindling populations will be severe in the long term.
