1) The major issue is that most of the population that still vehemently believe and adhere to a democracy, and have guns, are older people. (My opinion). They realize they are not physically well enough to fight a battle. Alot of people in the US own guns. But when you're in your 60's and upwards

Thank you for this summary. I was on a business trip in the USA a while ago. While there, I asked myself what i would actually do if I were American and wanted to protest. There weren't a lot of options. And what you said about people blocking it out fits, too. Bleak.
