Republicans have been targeting our education system since the 1980s, at least. Citizens noticed an uptick in crime and teen pregnancy then and they were gullible enough to believe it was "because liberals removed god from our schools". As if the absence of " God" causes those things.
That's the difference...they believe that as long as they wrap themselves in what THEY'VE twisted around into a bastardation of God's Word, any "sin" (like Paedophelia) is covered...and they're above everything. Even God.

Their God, which is just a book, always promoted violence inside and outside the family structure. Their religion itself is corrupt, so they didn't have to reinvent or bastardize anything, which is extremely sad.
