Tbh, blue states should start forming formal state militias that are totally independent of presidential control.

Well Constitutionally the National Guard is the Militias the Second amendment states are necessary to ensure the freedom of the states.

Not quite. By statute, the National Guard is under dual state and federal control and can be federalized. State Defense Forces are the true state-only militia: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_d...
