Ancient Egypt for instance. (there is more)
If we take the Bible for a valid history book, the flood must have happened in 2348 BC. But ancient Egypt begins towards 3150 BC and ends in 31 BC. So there is an issue.
Why?
Do you really need me to explain why ? If the flood happened in 2348 BC, ancient Egypt should have ended in 2348 BC, since everyone would have died.
But the Pyramids would have remained
I don't get how that's relevant.
There is no knock-down proof of what you're proposing as a problem for the Flood narrative. All we can know about what happened thousands of years ago is that it happened thousands of years ago. We cantbe sure what happened when. Did you know that every culture has a Flood legend?
No proof ? Did you just said there is no proof of the ancient Egypt civilization disappearing in 31 BC and not in 2348 ish BC ?
Notice, I said proof not evidence. It's very difficult, is it not, to know precisely what happened thousands of years ago. Some people believe that Jesus didn't even exist despite evidence.
There is proof of this civilization beginning towards 3150 BC and ending in 31 BC. That is in direct contradiction with the flood story related in the bible. What are your conclusions ?
Is the flood narrative primary in keeping you from belief in Christ?
That, if the Flood really happened (and there is a strong case to be made for it with lots of evidence) then there has to be some kind of overlap.
