Plague is not unusual in the SW and is entirely treatable with modern antibiotics. But, in the current political climate, any reports take on an unusual resonance. Be much more worried about the diseases we haven't spent decades, and centuries finding treatments for. You're right to be worried.
like Sars-Co-V2 was.... we STILL don't know much about covid, ie., long covid, so many diff. organ systems effected in diff people, getting covid is like playing Russian Roulette and now they're blocking access to its vaccine to the majority of Americans for no reason

i worry about drug-resistant bacterial infections... the abs we have for now work great for most of what's out there, but that list becomes extremely short once things start resisting cipro... the damage being done to our federal research programs nauseates me
